Elizabeth, NJ – Two-Car Crash Ends in Injury on NJ Tpke
Elizabeth, NJ (March 16, 2025) – On Friday, March 14, a car accident in the Elizabeth area resulted in injuries. The collision took place on the New Jersey Turnpike SB north of Interchange 13 and near the I-278/Goethals Bridge. Local reports indicated that two vehicles collided on the highway that afternoon at around 3:30 p.m.
It was later reported that a sedan collided with a sport utility vehicle when one of the vehicles attempted a lane change at a high rate of speed. After the impact, both vehicles came to a stop on the shoulder. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide the necessary aid to the involved parties. Some of the passengers were extricated from the wreckage. One of the victims was seriously injured and rushed to a local hospital for treatment. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities worked to clear the scene. No further information on the crash is currently available. However, police are investigating the incident.
