Teterboro, NJ – Pedestrian Hurt At Costco On Teterboro Landing Dr
Teterboro, NJ (March 9, 2024) – A pedestrian was hurt after being hit by a motor vehicle in a Costco parking lot in Teterboro on Wednesday, March 6. The accident occurred on Teterboro Landing Drive early that morning at around 10:30 a.m. Local reports revealed that a 95-year-old man driving a Lexus was involved in a minor crash near the front door of the Costco leading to the incident.
As the man attempted to back away from the other vehicle, he accidentally hit the gas too hard. This caused his car to lose control and go backwards where he hit some nearby concrete posts. The Lexus also sideswiped a female pedestrian.
The car was stuck between two posts. The driver had to be extricated by officials from the Hasbrouck Heights Fire Department. He was taken to Hackensak University Medical Center for treatment. The injured pedestrian was also hospitalized. No further information has been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for a full recovery.
