Netcong, NJ – Truck Crash on Route 80 near MM 26.3 Leaves Two Injured

Netcong, NJ (May 8, 2023) – Two people were left injured following a car crash that took place on Friday evening, May 5.

The accident was reported at approximately 1030 p.m.

Reports provided by the police show a 30-year-old man from Hackett town was traveling on Route 80 in a Honda Odyssey when his vehicle became involved in a collision with a dump truck near mile marker 26.3. The incident prompted officials to shut down a portion of the roadway near Route 46.

The driver of the Honda and his passenger, a 31-year-old male from Hackettstown, were both injured. The two victims were transported to area hospitals.

The dump truck driver, a 28-year-old man from the Dayton area, suffered no injuries.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
