Jackson, NJ – Fatal Dump Truck Crash at Cassville & Reed Rd

Jackson, NJ (September 5, 2024) – One person was killed, and another was injured after a crash involving a dump truck in the Jackson area on Wednesday, September 4. The deadly accident was reported at the corner of Cassville Road and Reed Road that afternoon, around 12:05 p.m. Local reports indicated that a sport utility vehicle collided with a commercial dump truck. 

Emergency responders were rushed to the scene to provide the necessary aid. Both victims were traveling in the SUV. The male driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for the treatment of sustained injuries. No other injuries were reported in the crash. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more updates will be provided as it continues.
