Hasbrouck Heights, NJ – Injuries Reported in Car Crash on Route 17 near Moonachie Ave

Hasbrouck Heights, NJ (May 20, 2023) – One person was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries following an automobile accident that took place in Hasbrouck Heights on Thursday evening.

At approximately 10:15 p.m. on May 18, the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department responded to the scene of a crash on Route 17. Reports show that a BMW M34 and a Dodge Charger collided along the roadway on the northbound side. The incident prompted the police to close the roadway near Moonachie Avenue. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities located one of the vehicles flipped over. A utility pole at the intersection was also damaged.

Medics responded to the scene of the crash to provide care to the victims who were injured. A 21-year-old male from Mays Landing, New Jersey, area was transported to HUMC for emergency treatment.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
