Hackensack, NJ – Driver Hurt in Freightliner Crash on NJ-80

Hackensack, NJ (June 23, 2024) – On Friday, June 23, a driver was hurt after a collision involving a Freightliner truck in the Hackensack area. The accident was reported on NJ-80, near mile marker 65.6 early that morning, around 3:22 a.m. It was later revealed that a Freightliner box truck collided with a Mercedez-Benz. 

Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The driver of the Mercedez was hurt and transported to a local hospital by ambulance for the treatment of sustained injuries. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. Tow trucks were needed to clear the resulting wreckage and other debris. No other injuries were reported in the accident. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be provided as it continues.
