Elizabeth, NJ (July 10, 2024) – On Sunday, July 7, a pedestrian was injured after a collision in the Elizabeth area. The incident was reported that afternoon, around 2 p.m., at the corner of Westfield Avenue and N. Broad Street. The male victim was traveling on foot when they were hit by an oncoming motor vehicle. 

Local reports revealed that a vehicle was making a left turn onto Westfield when it hit the pedestrian. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officials. The injured party was transported by ambulance to University Hospital in Newark for the treatment of life-threatening injuries. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
