Upper Deerfield Twp, NJ (December 22, 2025) – On Saturday, December 20, emergency responders were called to a serious traffic accident at the intersection of South Woodruff Road and Irving Avenue in Cumberland County. The crash, reported shortly before 6:00 p.m., involved two vehicles and resulted in one fatality and four serious injuries.

According to the New Jersey State Police, a 72-year-old Vineland woman driving north on South Woodruff Road failed to stop at a red light, made a right turn, and collided with a vehicle traveling west on Irving Avenue. A passenger in the other vehicle, 38-year-old Yerlimari Quinones of Bridgeton, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the same vehicle, 33, and three additional passengers, all from Bridgeton, sustained serious injuries. The Vineland motorist suffered minor injuries.

First responders provided medical assistance at the scene, and the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for further evaluation. The intersection was temporarily affected as crews worked to clear the scene and ensure safety. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, and no charges have been announced.
