Maurice River, NJ – Two Killed in DUI Head-on Crash on Rte 522
Maurice River, NJ (February 23, 2025) – On Saturday, February 22, two people were killed after a head-on collision involving an alleged drunk driver in Maurice River. The fatal accident took place on Route 522 early that morning at around 4:15 a.m. Local reports revealed that Levon Woods was traveling eastbound in a Kia when he collided head-on with a westbound Honda near mile marker 19.4.

The driver of the Honda, 57-year-old Thomas Splinter, and the passenger, 29-year-old Nancy Orellana-Splinter, both from Mays Landing, both sustained fatal injuries in the impact.
