E Orange, NJ – NY Man Fatally Struck by Multiple Cars on NJ Tpke
East Orange, NJ (March 22, 2025) – A man from New York was killed after being hit by several vehicles in East Orange on Friday, March 21. The deadly incident took place on the New Jersey Turnpike near mile marker 146.4 early that morning at around 12:58 a.m. It was reported that 43-year-old Eliyahu Fink of Suffern, NY was driving a Tesla Model Y when he was involved in a single-vehicle crash, leaving the car disabled.
Fink exited the vehicle and was standing near it on the roadway. Fink and the Tesla were hit by a Jeep Cherokee traveling southbound. In the impact, Fink became airborne and entered northbound traffic where he was hit by multiple vehicles. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to render the necessary aid. Fink was later pronounced dead. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the crash is in progress.
