Emergency crews rushed to the scene within minutes and found both the driver and passenger trapped inside the burning SUV. Firefighters battled heavy flames and tried to rescue the victims. Despite their efforts, both individuals inside the SUV died at the scene.

No one inside the home was hurt, though parts of the structure were heavily damaged by fire and smoke. Crews stayed at the scene for several hours to put out remaining flames and secure the property.

Investigators gathered evidence and interviewed witnesses to determine what caused the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the deadly incident.

We extend our sincere condolences to the families of the victims during this challenging time.

What Should I Do if a Loved One Dies in a Car Accident in New Jersey?

Two Killed After SUV Crashes Into Home on Banff DrAfter a fatal crash in New Jersey, families should act quickly to secure important information. Start by obtaining the official police report and any available witness statements. These records provide key details about what occurred and may be needed for insurance or legal purposes.

Contact the insurance company to report the loss and review what coverage applies. Read all documents carefully before signing or accepting any settlement. Consulting a lawyer beforehand helps ensure that decisions are made with a full understanding of the situation.

Keep all documentation related to the crash in one place. This includes photos, video footage, and contact information for witnesses. Organized evidence can help support insurance claims or potential legal action later.

Obtain certified copies of the death certificate as soon as they are issued. This document is often required for insurance filings, estate matters, and possible wrongful death claims. It can typically be requested through the local vital records office once the medical examiner’s report is complete.

Speaking to a wrongful death lawyer soon after the crash can help protect your rights. An attorney can clarify how liability, insurance coverage, and filing deadlines apply in fatal crash cases. With proper legal guidance, families can take the right steps from the start and understand every option for pursuing a claim.

A lawyer can also assess potential claims for funeral expenses, medical costs, and loss of financial support. Each situation is unique, and legal support helps families understand what compensation may be available under New Jersey law.
