Galloway Twp., NJ – Fire on 100 Block of Waterview Dr Injures One
Galloway Twp., NJ (December 11, 2025) – Early Wednesday morning, December 10, at around 4 a.m., a fire tore through the Mallard’s Landing Condominiums on the 100 block of Waterview Drive, leaving one man injured and prompting a full investigation.
When the blaze erupted, a neighbor recorded the flames consuming the second-floor unit on video. Crews from the Oceanville Fire Department arrived shortly after the fire erupted and began search and rescue operations. They located a man in his 60s inside the unit, who was later flown to Temple University Hospital’s burn center for treatment.
After the fire was extinguished, investigators from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and the state fire marshal examined the charred condo, taking photos and collecting evidence. Officials confirmed that smoke alarms were sounding when crews arrived.
One resident living below the burned unit reported being awakened by a noise and seeing an orange glow through her window. She is now staying with family and praised the community for its support.
The fire is being considered suspicious, and the prosecutor’s office is asking anyone with information to come forward. Officials noted that investigations by the prosecutor’s office are standard procedure when a fire results in serious injury.
We hope the injured victim and those affected by this accident make a safe and full recovery.
