Woodbridge, NJ – Passenger Dies in Collision on Rte 9 at Green St
Woodbridge, NJ (October 28, 2024) – On Friday, October 25, a passenger was killed after a single-vehicle accident in the Woodbridge area. The deadly accident took place on Route 9 near Green Street early that morning around 9:05 a.m. Local reports revealed that two people were traveling in a 2017 Kia Sportage when the driver crashed.
Emergency crews were later dispatched after being notified of a serious collision. When officials arrived, they found the passenger, 47-year-old Mario Ortiz Bonilla of North Plainfield, in the vehicle. Bonilla sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver reportedly fled the scene on foot before officials arrived. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
