Trenton, NJ – Woman Loses Leg in Hit-&-Run on Southard St
Trenton, NJ (June 10, 2025) – On Saturday, June 7, a woman was seriously injured after a pedestrian accident in the Trenton area. The incident took place at the 918 block of Southard Street early that morning at around 5:13 a.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched after being notified of a woman lying on the roadway.
When officials arrived, they found a 38-year-old woman from the Yardville area on the road. The victim was bleeding heavily, with her right leg severed just below the knee. It was later revealed that the victim was on foot when she was hit by an oncoming motorist. The driver failed to remain at the scene. A tourniquet was applied to stop the bleeding, and the victim was rushed to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in critical condition. Sadly, the woman was reported to have lost her leg as a result of the crash. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
