Southampton, NJ (September 18, 2024) – On Monday, September 16, a motorcyclist was killed after a crash involving a tractor-trailer outside of Southampton. The deadly accident took place on NJ-206 near mile marker 23.3 at around 12:25 p.m. Local reports revealed that 67-year-old Johnny Epperson Jr. was riding north on a motorcycle when he was hit by the truck. 

The truck driver did not stop after the collision, but authorities were later able to locate the suspect. The trucker told authorities he was unaware that the motorcyclist had been hit. The injured rider suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The area was temporarily closed while emergency crews were present. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fatal crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
