Seaside Heights, NJ (September 25, 2024) – A driver has been charged in connection with a serious hit-and-run accident reported in the Seaside Heights area on Monday, September 23. The incident took place at the intersection of Dupont Avenue and Boulevard late that night around 9:30 p.m. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene when they were notified of a 75-year-old man lying on the roadway.
The driver was later located and charged in relation to the crash. The at-fault motorist was later identified as Genell Mcinaw of Seaside Park. The injured party was rushed to Jersey Shore University Medical Center for the treatment of critical injuries. Local reports revealed that the man was hit by a dark sedan traveling southbound on Boulevard, and the driver continued without providing aid to the injured party. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
