S Amboy, NJ – Driver Killed in Dump Truck Crash at NJ-35 & US-9

S Amboy, NJ (June 5, 2025) – A driver was killed following a collision in South Amboy on Wednesday, June 4. The fatal crash occurred at the NJ-35 and US-9 interchange near the Washington Street off-ramp early that morning at around 3:45 a.m. Local reports revealed that a Ford F-250 pickup truck was traveling north on NJ-35 when it collided with a dump truck that had entered the road from US-9.
The impact caused the pickup to crash into the guardrail and overturn before catching fire. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene, and fire units were needed to extinguish the blaze.
