Pittsgrove, NJ – Bicyclist Dies in Crash at Willow Grove & Parvins Mill Rd
Pittsgrove, NJ (April 25, 2025) – On Wednesday, April 23, a cyclist was killed after a motor vehicle accident in the Pittsgrove area. The fatal accident took place at the corner of Willow Grove Road and Parvins Mill Road late that night. The victim was riding a bike when they were struck by an oncoming vehicle.
It was revealed that the driver initially fled the scene and then returned in a different vehicle. Despite life-saving aid from attending medical personnel, the injured rider sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, later identified as 44-year-old Steven J. Petronglo of Pittsgrove Township, was said to have been driving a pickup truck hauling a tractor with a 15-foot-wide seeder attachment traveling east at the time of the crash. Petronglo is facing charges for several offenses, including vehicular homicide and driving under the influence. No further information on the deadly crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is in progress.
