Paterson, NJ – Woman Dies in Hit-&-Run Crash on Rte 80
Paterson, NJ (June 6, 2025) – On Wednesday, June 4, a woman was killed after a pedestrian accident in the Paterson area. The deadly collision took place on Route 80 EB near mile marker 59.5 early that morning at around 2:55 a.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene after being notified of the victim lying on the roadway.
An unidentified pedestrian was reportedly hit by a driver who proceeded to flee the scene. Despite life-saving aid from attending medical personnel, the pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. It was reported that the vehicle involved was a large commercial truck or tractor-trailer. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available.
