Paterson, NJ – Man Dies in Hit-&-Run on Alabama Ave
Paterson, NJ (February 6, 2025) – On Monday, February 3, a man was killed after a hit-and-run accident in the Paterson area. The deadly collision took place early that morning, around 9:30 a.m., at the 135 block of Alabama Avenue. It was reported that the 59-year-old victim was cleaning snow off his vehicle when he was struck by an oncoming motor vehicle.
The at-fault driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the injured party. The impact caused the victim to be thrown into the air before hitting the street. Emergency crews were later dispatched to the scene, and the victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. The deceased party was later identified as Abel Herrera. The driver was later tracked down and identified as 21-year-old Shakim Adams of Paterson.
