Paramus, NJ – Woman Dies in Pedestrian Crash on NJ-17

Paramus, NJ (September 22, 2024) – A woman was killed after a pedestrian accident in the Paramus area on Saturday, September 21. The fatal crash occurred on NJ-17 early that morning around 3:30 a.m. A woman in her 20s was traveling on foot when she was struck on the highway.
The victim was reportedly crossing east to west on the highway when she was hit. She was reportedly struck by a white Kia driven by a 42-year-old man. The pedestrian was then hit by a tractor-trailer operated by a 65-year-old man. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid. Despite life-saving measures from attending medical personnel, the victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased party has been withheld.
