Newark, NJ – Double Fatality in Crash on Raymond Boulevard

Newark, NJ (October 15, 2024) – Two people were killed after a multi-vehicle collision in the Newark area on Saturday, October 12. The fatal accident took place on the Raymond Boulevard Bridge early that morning, around 4 a.m., in the city’s Ironbound section. Three vehicles reportedly collided at the scene.
It was later revealed that a Ford Focus, a Dodge Durango, and a Subaru Outback were involved in the impact. The driver of the Focus, Anaji S. Ryan, and their passenger, Ayriella M. Hughes, suffered fatal injuries in the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene by attending medical personnel. The drivers of the other two vehicles were injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The circumstances leading to the accident have not yet been determined. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
