New Brunswick, NJ – Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Lee St
New Brunswick, NJ (May 27, 2025) – On Saturday, May 24, a woman was killed after being hit by a motor vehicle in the New Brunswick area. The deadly pedestrian crash took place at the corner of Lee Street and Suydam Street late that night at around 10:41 p.m. Local reports revealed that the victim was on foot when she was struck by an oncoming motorist.
The at-fault driver fled the scene without providing aid to the injured pedestrian. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene where they found the victim with serious injuries. Despite life-saving aid from attending medical personnel, she was pronounced dead at the scene. A 41-year-old North Brunswick man was later apprehended and is currently facing charges related to the crash. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
