Middle Twp, NJ (October 4, 2024) – On Wednesday, October 2, a motorcyclist was killed and their passenger hurt after a two-vehicle crash in Middle Township. The deadly accident took place on NJ-47 near the Bayway Marina that afternoon around 3:15 p.m. Local reports revealed that the driver of a Subaru sport utility vehicle was headed northbound when they attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot at the marina.
The SUV entered the path of a motorcycle operated by 40-year-old Robert Pfaff III of Villas. Pfaff and his passenger, a 33-year-old woman, were ejected from the bike. Both victims were flown to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City in critical condition. Pfaff was later pronounced dead. The area was temporarily closed while local authorities worked to clear the scene. No additional information on this deadly crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
