Manchester Twp, NJ – Driver Killed in Dump Truck Crash on Mount Misery Rd
Manchester Twp, NJ (May 1, 2025) – One person was killed and another was hurt after a two-vehicle crash in Manchester Township on Monday, April 28. The deadly crash took place near the crossing of Mount Misery Road and Pasadena Road that afternoon at around 2 p.m. Local reports revealed that a dump truck and a sport utility vehicle collided at the scene.
Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. When officials arrived, they found a 2023 red Kenworth dump truck on the shoulder of Pasadena Road with extensive front-end damage and fully engulfed in flames. A 2023 silver Toyota Highlander was also on fire on the shoulder. The driver of the Toyota, a 22-year-old man from Manchester, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the dump truck, a 51-year-old man from Toms River, was also injured. The area was temporarily closed as local authorities worked the scene. No further information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
