Lakewood, NJ – 19-Year-Old Scooter Rider Fatally Struck by School Bus on W County Line Rd
Lakewood, NJ (December 7, 2025) – A 19-year-old woman who was hit by a school bus earlier this week in Lakewood tragically died from her injuries on Friday, December 5, according to her family.
The deadly collision took place along West County Line Road near Hope Chapel Road. Police said the victim, identified as Angeles Nieto Gonzales, was riding her scooter when a school bus struck her in the roadway. The impact threw her to the ground, leaving her with a severe head injury.
Emergency crews arrived within minutes and found Gonzales unconscious and bleeding. Paramedics gave her lifesaving treatment before rushing her to a nearby hospital for emergency care. Despite doctors’ efforts, her family later confirmed that she passed away from her injuries.
