Jersey City, NJ – Child Dies in Pedestrian Crash at Jersey Ave & 6th St
Jersey City, NJ (June 16, 2025) – A child was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in the Jersey City area on Saturday, June 14. The deadly accident took place at the crossing of Jersey Avenue and Sixth Street at around 4 p.m. Local reports revealed that the juvenile victim was traveling on foot when they were struck by an oncoming motor vehicle.
Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the injured pedestrian. Despite support from attending medical personnel, the victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene just 10 minutes later. No charges have been filed at this time, and there is limited information regarding the involved driver. The area was temporarily closed as local authorities worked the scene.
