Deadly Bicycle Accidents in New Jersey
In the Garden State, 2021 was an especially fatal year for pedestrian accidents. As of December 17 of that year, statistics indicate that New Jersey had 204 pedestrian fatalities and 22 cycling fatalities. Since 1989, this is the largest number the state has ever recorded. Nearly one-third of all traffic-related fatalities in the state involve bike riders. Because they are so exposed while riding, cyclists are far more likely to sustain serious or even fatal injuries in an accident. If a loved one dies in a bicycle accident, you should speak with an experienced attorney about filing a wrongful death lawsuit.
