Egg Harbor Twp, NJ – Pedestrian Dies in Crash at Delaware & Fernwood Ave
Egg Harbor Twp, NJ (May 18, 2025) – A pedestrian was killed after a traffic accident in Egg Harbor Township on Friday, May 16. The deadly crash took place at the corner of Delaware Avenue and Fernwood Avenue. It was later reported that a 71-year-old man was traveling eastbound on Delaware Avenue in a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro approaching a 2022 Mini Cooper driven by a 19-year-old woman.
The driver of the Camaro left the roadway to avoid hitting the Mini Cooper, causing him to hit two juveniles walking home from Bargaintown Park. One of the juveniles was rushed to Shore Medical Center by the Egg Harbor Township EMS and AtlantiCare paramedics, where they later succumbed to their injuries. The other juvenile was treated at the scene by attending medical personnel. Although no further information on the deadly crash is currently available, an ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials, and more information will be supplied as it continues.
