Edison, NJ - Woman Dies in Box-Truck Crash on I-287

Edison, NJ (June 26, 2025) – A Piscataway woman was killed following a two-vehicle crash outside of Edison on Tuesday, June 24. The deadly accident was reported on Interstate 287 near mile marker 1.6 early that morning at around 10:36 a.m. Local reports revealed that a Ford box truck was traveling south in the center lane, while a Honda minivan was in the center lane. 

The right front side of the Honda minivan hit the rear of the box truck. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide the necessary aid. The driver of the Honda, 77-year-old Albert Kennen, was hurt in the impact. A passenger, 72-year-old Judith Kennen of Piscataway, suffered fatal injuries in the accident. The driver of the box truck was not injured. The area was temporarily closed as local authorities were present. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is in progress.
