Linden, NJ (May 8, 2025) – There were multiple injuries reported after an auto accident in the Linden area on Monday, May 5. The crash took place at the 1100 block of E. St. George Avenue late that night at around 7:55 p.m. Local reports revealed that a Ford pickup truck and a Toyota Camry collided at the scene.

It was later revealed that the pickup was headed west when it tried to make a left turn onto Bishop Evans Way when it collided with the Toyota. The Camry continued off the roadway where it hit a utility pole. The 32-year-old man, driving the Toyota, initially refused medical treatment but was later transported to Trinitas Regional Medical Center for treatment. Two passengers from the Toyota, an 18-year-old woman and a 38-year-old woman, were taken to Newark University Hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the pickup fled the scene without rendering aid to the involved parties, but the vehicle was later found by authorities. No further information on the crash has been provided. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is in progress.
