Franklin Twp, NJ (April 1, 2025) – On Sunday, March 30, a deadly plane crash was reported in Franklin Township. The incident took place near the Princeton Airport in a wooded area outside of town. It was later revealed that a single-engine Cirrus SR22 had departed from the airport bound for Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina when it crashed for unknown reasons shortly after takeoff. 

Emergency responders were quickly rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. The wreckage was found among trees, and it was later revealed that the pilot was killed in the impact. The identity of the deceased has not been released at this time. The surrounding area was evacuated while emergency crews were present. It is still unknown how many people were on board the aircraft at the time of the incident. No further information is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
