Wildwood, NJ – Five Hurt in Golf Cart Crash at Fox Park Event

Wildwood, NJ (August 8, 2024) – Multiple people were hurt in the Wildwood area on Wednesday, August 7, after an accident involving a golf cart. The incident took place at the National Night Out celebration event at Fox Park that afternoon around 3 p.m. The crash involved a golf cart that was a part of the local police simulated impaired driving course. 

A juvenile attendee and a Wildwood police officer were riding the golf cart when it left the track and struck several individuals. Emergency units were already at the scene and immediately started rendering aid to the five injured parties. Four adults and one child were transported by ambulance to Cape Regional Medical Center for treatment. Three of the victims were later released, with two still at the hospital for additional support. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
