West Milford, NJ – Two Teens Hurt in ATV Crash on Highlander Dr

West Milford, NJ (October 11, 2024) – Two teenagers were injured after a two-vehicle crash in the West Milford area on Tuesday, October 8. The accident took place on Highlander Drive at around 4 p.m. Local reports revealed that a 14 and 15-year-old were riding an all-terrain vehicle traveling northbound on the roadway when they crossed the center line and entered southbound traffic. 

The ATV collided with an oncoming vehicle. The impact caused both vehicles to veer into the wood off the road. Both teens were found with serious injuries when emergency officials arrived. The injured parties were transported by ambulance to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment. The 18-year-old West Milford resident driving the other car and their 15-year-old passenger were also injured and treated at the scene by attending medical personnel. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
