West Milford, NJ – Two Seriously Hurt in Tour Bus Crash on E Shore Rd
West Milford, NJ (June 5, 2024) – Two girls suffered serious injuries after a crash involving a charter bus in the West Milford area on Tuesday, June 4. The accident took place on E. Shore Road near Storms Island Road that afternoon around 3:15 p.m. When emergency crews arrived, they found a charter bus on its side with significant front-end damage.
It was later revealed that the bus was operated by Monsey Tours of Brooklyn, NY. The bus was headed eastbound on E. Shore Road when it hit a tree, this caused one of the branches to break and enter the passenger compartment. Two girls suffered severe injuries and were transported by helicopter to a local hospital. Three other girls were transported by ambulance to Chilton Medical Center for treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
