Wayne, NJ – Injuries Reported in Three-Vehicle Crash with Ambulance on Route 23 near Ratzer Rd
Wayne, NJ (February 21, 2023) – At least one person was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries following a crash that took place in Wayne on Monday morning, February 20.
At around 9:35 a.m., authorities were called to provide assistance at the scene of a crash on Route 23.
According to officials, a gray SUV, a dark-colored sedan, and a CAMT ambulance collided in the U-turn area at Route 23 and Ratzer Road.
The incident prompted police and firefighters to block off the intersection while providing assistance. The northbound and southbound lanes of travel were both affected as a result of this accident, resulting in delays throughout the area.
Four people had to be extricated from their vehicles due to the extent of the damage.
An ambulance responded to the scene of the accident to provide assistance. Medics rendered aid to the four victims while at the scene. Those who required further care were transported to area hospitals.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
