Washington Borough, NJ – Two Hurt in Motorcycle Crash on Route 31 near Hillcrest Ave

Washington Borough, NJ (August 18, 2023) – Two people were hurt as a result of an auto accident that occurred in Washington Borough on Wednesday, August 16.

At around 6:00 p.m., the Washington Township Police and firefighters responded to an accident on Route 31.

According to WTPD reports, a 2011 BMW was attempting to make a left turn onto Route 31 from Hillcrest Avenue. While turning, the vehicle collided with a 2014 Yamaha motorcycle.

The motorcycle, which was traveling southbound on the roadway, was being driven by a 56-year-old man.

The motorcyclist was injured in the crash and transported to St. Luke’s Hospital Anderson in Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania, for emergency care. The driver of the BMW, a 64-year-old woman, was transported to Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, New Jersey.

The accident is being investigated.
