Vineland, NJ – Two Killed in Collision at Union Rd & Mays Landing Rd
Vineland, NJ (June 6, 2024) – Two were killed and another person was airlifted to a hospital after a crash in the Vineland area on Tuesday, June 4. The fatal accident took place at the corner of Union Road and Mays Landing Road early that morning around 11 a.m. Local reports revealed that a Ford F 2-50 pickup truck was headed west on Mays Landing when a Toyota entered the path of the truck.
The driver of the Toyota, 23-year-old John A. Mahoney of Sewell, reportedly failed to yield to the pickup. Both Maloney and his passenger, 23-year-old Patrick J. Mahoney also from Sewell, suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. It was not reported if the two were related. The driver of the Ford was airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden for the treatment of sustained injuries. No charges have been filed at this time. No additional information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
