Upper Freehold Twp, NJ – Nine Hurt in Pileup Crash on I-195 at MM 9

Upper Freehold Twp, NJ (October 29, 2024) – There were several confirmed injuries after a multi-vehicle collision in Upper Freehold Township on Sunday, October 27. The accident took place on Interstate 195 near mile marker nine late that evening around 11:15 p.m. Local reports revealed that three vehicles collided in Monmouth County. 

One of the vehicles involved in the impact caught fire in the crash. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide aid to the involved parties. Nine victims were injured and transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. At this time, the circumstances leading to the accident have not yet been provided. The area was closed for several hours while emergency crews were present. Law enforcement authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to the crash.
