Union Township, NJ – Injuries Reported on I-78 near MM 14

Union Township, NJ (April 1, 2023) – The police and firefighters out of Union Township were called to the scene of a car crash that took place on Thursday and ended in injuries.

At around 10:00 p.m. on March 30, emergency officials were notified that a motor vehicle accident had taken place on Interstate 78.

Reports show that two vehicles collided on the westbound side of the interstate. The crash prompted the police and local firefighters to shut down a portion of the road near mile marker 14. One of the vehicles involved in the accident went off the road and crashed into a tree. The second vehicle went down an embankment near Route 173.

Emergency medical services responded to care for victims who suffered injuries. Those who required further care were transported to local hospitals.

The police department is currently investigating the incident.
