Toms River, NJ – Woman Hurt in Car Crash on Fischer Blvd near Adams Ave

Toms River, NJ (July 3, 2023) – A woman was left with significant injuries following a crash that occurred in the Toms River area.

At around 8:30 p.m. on July 2, the police and firefighters were called to the scene of a crash on Fischer Boulevard.

Reports from authorities show that 37-year-old Steven Lecates was turning from Adams Avenue at the intersection of Fisher Boulevard when he failed to stop at a stop sign. As a result, his vehicle collided with a second vehicle.

The impact of the collision sent one of the involved vehicles into a decorative stone at the intersection. The vehicle then continued forward into a home.

A woman involved in the accident suffered injuries. Firefighters were called to the scene to extricate the victim. She was then airlifted and flown by helicopter to Jersey Shore Medical University for emergency treatment.

The crash is currently being investigated.
