Toms River, NJ – Pedestrian Struck & Injured by Vehicle at NJ-37 & River Dr
Toms River, NJ (June 17, 2023) – A pedestrian accident reported in the Toms River area sent one person to a local hospital with injuries on Friday, June 16.
At around 10:30 p.m., the police and firefighters were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a major crash that occurred on New Jersey Route 37.
Reports from authorities indicate that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the roadway near River Drive. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and located the pedestrian, who was unconscious on the road.
The pedestrian was injured as a result of the crash. Paramedics were called to care for the injured victim and transport them to a local hospital for further medical care.
The police department is currently investigating the crash.
