Southampton Twp, NJ – Motorcyclist Dies In Collision On NJ-70

Southampton Twp, NJ (April 10, 2024) – On Tuesday, April 9, a motorcyclist was killed after a collision involving a state police vehicle in the area of Southampton Township. The deadly accident was reported on NJ-70 just before noon. Local reports revealed that an on-duty state trooper was conducting routine patrol duties in a marked police vehicle when they collided with an oncoming motorcyclist.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene to render the necessary aid to the involved parties. The injured rider was treated at the scene before being transported to Virtua Mount Holly Hospital in critical condition. The victim was later pronounced dead late that day around 12:45 p.m. No other injuries have been reported at this time. The identity of the deceased victim has not been provided at this time. No further information on the deadly crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
