Truck Accidents in New Jersey
Accidents involving trucks are usually some of the most severe accidents reported. These vehicles are much larger than others sharing the road. As a result, they are more likely to cause severe damage to anything they come in contact with. For people who are inside smaller passenger vehicles, the results can be disastrous.
Every year, thousands of people are hurt as a result of truck crashes across the state of New Jersey. In many instances, the injured parties are left with severe compound fractures, catastrophic brain injuries, and even spinal cord injuries that leave them permanently paralyzed. The aftermath of a truck accident can be incredibly overwhelming for those involved.
Trying to deal with the financial consequences of a truck crash can be incredibly difficult. If you have suffered injuries in a truck accident that was caused by another driver’s careless or negligent actions, you may be able to take legal action. When it comes to truck accidents in the state of New Jersey, there are generally multiple parties who can be held liable for any resulting injuries or damages. These include:
- The driver of the truck who is in charge of operating the vehicle responsibly.
- The truck company that is in charge of hiring responsible drivers.
- The maintenance company charged with inspecting and maintaining the vehicle.
- The cargo loading company that is required to engage in safe loading practices.
- The parts manufacturers that are required to put out parts that function correctly.
