Sayreville, NJ – Jahmeir Mendez Loses Life in Car Crash on Garden State Pkwy near MM 123.8

Sayreville, NJ (May 11, 2023) – The New Jersey State Police confirmed that 22-year-old Jahmeir Mendez lost his life as a result of a pedestrian accident that took place in Middlesex County on Tuesday evening, May 9.

According to reports, Mendez was attempting to cross the Garden State Parkway in the area near mile marker 123.8 during the evening hours. As he crossed from the southbound side to the northbound side, he was struck by a Subaru Outback.

Mendez was severely injured as a result of the accident. Authorities arrived at the scene to render aid to the victim. He was subsequently pronounced deceased as a result of the injuries he suffered.

At this time, the incident is being investigated.
