Pohatcong Twp, NJ – New York Man Killed In Crash On I-78
Pohatcong Twp, NJ (March 11, 2024) – On Sunday, March 10, a New York man was killed following a car accident in Pohatcong Township. The deadly crash was reported on Interstate 78 in Warren County at around 16 around 5:45 p.m. The accident reportedly involved two vehicles near the Pennsylvania-New Jersey stateline.
Emergency crews were quickly dispatched in order to render aid to the injured parties. The victim, later identified as 64-year-old Carmen Berretta of Albany, NY, was transported to St. Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead at around 10 p.m. Berretta reportedly died due to blunt force trauma resulting from the crash. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
