Pleasantville, NJ – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Atlantic City Expressway near Exit 5

Pleasantville, NJ (January 26, 2023) – A pedestrian lost their life following a crash that took place on Tuesday evening in Pleasantville. On January 24, officers with the New Jersey State Police were called to the scene of a traffic accident that took place on the Atlantic City Expressway at around 6 p.m.

According to NJSP reports, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the eastbound side of the Atlantic City Expressway near exit 5 in Pleasantville, New Jersey.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash stayed at the scene.

The pedestrian suffered severe injuries due to the accident. The victim was pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries while at the scene.

The vehicle that struck the victim had to be towed away from the scene of the accident due to damage.

At this time, the state police are investigating the accident. No other injuries were reported.
