Paterson, NJ – Injuries Follow Traffic Accident on Main St near Ward St
Paterson, NJ (January 31, 2023) – An automobile accident took place in the Paterson area that resulted in injuries. At around 5:35 p.m. on January 29, the police and firefighters were called to the scene of a traffic crash that took place on Main Street.
According to officials, two vehicles collided on Main Street at the intersection of Ward Street during the early evening hours. The incident involved a gray SUV and a police car.
The impact of the crash because the police car driver to lose control and crash into a pole near the intersection. The SUV overturned and came to rest on its roof.
Two EMS units responded to the scene of the accident to provide care to the victims who suffered injuries.
The person inside the SUV was transported to an area hospital for further medical care. At this time, the number of additional victims transported to area hospitals is not known.
The police department is currently investigating the accident.
