Parsippany, NJ – Pedestrian Dies in Hit-&-Run on NJ-46
Parsippany, NJ (August 22, 2024) – A pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run accident in the area of Parsippany on Monday, August 19. The deadly crash took place on NJ-46 late that night. Local reports revealed that the collision took place near the Buffalo Wild Wings around 10 p.m.
It was revealed that the victim was struck by a silver or gray Toyota RAV4, model years 2019 to 2021, in the westbound lanes of the highway. The at-fault driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim. Despite life-saving measures from responding emergency crews, the injured pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased victim has been withheld. The suspect vehicle is likely missing a passenger-side mirror. No further information on the deadly accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is in progress.
