North Bergen, NJ – Scooter Operator Loses Life in Crash on Route 495

North Bergen, NJ (April 10, 2023) – A Scooter operator has died as a result of a car crash that took place in North Bergen.

Reports provided by Hudson County prosecutor Esther Suarez show that a person was riding a scooter on the westbound ramp for route 495 at approximately 3:45 p.m. on April 8.

For unknown reasons, the vehicle became involved in a motor vehicle collision with the side rear tire of a fuel truck that was traveling down the roadway. The accident took place in the proximity of the intersection of John F. Kennedy Boulevard and 32nd Street.

The scooterist, who was identified as an adult male, was fatally injured in the crash. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the cause of the accident is being investigated.
